Caffeine Bullet Success Story - Gina Burton

Who are you? Introduce yourself to our community.

I'm Gina Burton. I'm 33 years old. I work as an editor and I am a retired footballer where I played for teams such as West Brom, Birmingham City, Coventry City, Shrewsbury Town, and represented my country Wales as an international senior. I also played out in America for a year when I was 17. I'm married to my husband Tom and we have a little Labrador called Oreo. I live in Solihull and enjoy running, football, going to the gym, and generally being active.

What inspired you to give Caffeine Bullet a try?

3 years ago, I unfortunately was rushed into hospital with a twisted bowel. After many complications and two back to back surgeries to remove the sepsis that was in my stomach, the surgeons had to remove half of my bowel leaving me with only a small part of my small bowel left. Because of this there are many foods that I cannot stomach and cause me lots of pain, uncomfortable feelings and basically I have the inability to digest them leaving me getting very poorly.

I love running but have been unable to find a sufficient fuelling product that doesn't cause me to be sick when they mix with my medication I have to take. Or they give me the runs and I need to jump in a bush (we've all been there!). When I saw the product I was immediately attracted by the tiny size, the ginger flavour (as I know it is great for the gut), and the fact that it is a solid chew and not a liquid/gel.

How did you find the taste and ease of use of our products?

I love the taste of ginger so I knew that flavour wouldn't have been a shock to me, but I was shocked at how tasty and easy to eat and digest it was. It has a semi-sweet flavour which is just like eating a little sweet. I LOVE that they are all individually wrapped which means you can keep them in your pocket and unwrap them as and when needed. Like I said they pack a huge punch for being so small too so they are really handy to fit into small pockets.

How has Caffeine Bullet played a part in your journey to smash your personal bests?

I take two bullets just before I perform any exercise and as they have worked so well I have completely managed to cut drinking coffee out of my diet which is great as the excess liquid used to swirl around in my stomach whilst running. They deliver an immediate caffeine energy hit after 15 minutes and more importantly they don't leave with me with a big slump after. Its allowed me to continue doing what I love feeling energised with no impact on my gut.

For those considering trying Caffeine Bullet, what advice would you share?

I would say if you've tried all the energy gels/drinks/chews/tablets under the sun and you just haven't quite hit the ground running yet then you've got nothing to lose trying caffeine bullet. The ginger really settles the gut which is really important for runners, and the ingredients used also really help reduce inflammation during and after exercise. They are really cheap too (as we all know gels are quite spenny) and one big bag will last you a long time. They are non-invasive to your gut and generally taste really great which helps as some energy products taste awful and part of the grind to get out the door in the first place is to get your pre-workout down you which isn't pleasant. From a girl whose only got half of a bowel and terrible digestive issues, take it from me, they work and they taste great!
