Who are you? Introduce yourself to our community

My name is Lewis Smith, and I am a 17-year-old rugby player. Throughout my career, I've played for Burton Rugby Club, Barton Rugby Club, Lichfield Rugby Club, Nottingham Rugby Academy, Leicester Tigers DPP, and Staffordshire County. Currently, I play for Lichfield and Staffordshire. Over the past two seasons, I’ve scored over 100 points in each! I’m entering Year 13 at sixth form, where I study Business, Economics, and Geography.

What inspired you to give Caffeine Bullet a try? Why did you feel like you needed a caffeine boost?

Caffeine is a great way to maximize my performance on the pitch. Drinking a Red Bull is a long process compared to chewing a Caffeine Bullet. The time it saves allows me to focus on the game more effectively. I wanted to try it because I needed a quick and easy alternative to drinking Red Bull 10 minutes before a game.

How did you find the taste and ease of use of our products? What do you typically use them for and why do you prefer them to alternative products?

The chew gives me a much more efficient boost of energy, which directly impacts my performance. I typically use Caffeine Bullet before a game when we go back into the changing rooms, about 5-10 minutes before kick-off. The energy boost helps me perform at my best, especially in critical moments like conversions and penalties.

How has Caffeine Bullet played a part in your journey to smash your personal bests?

It’s helped me boost my performance in key game situations. For example, this year I won the County Cup with Lichfield Colts after beating Walsall 19-11 in the final. At one point, we were 3 men down, and the extra energy from the chew helped me and my teammates step up our game and perform to the best of our abilities.

What PBs have Caffeine Bullet helped you set (what was your previous PB and what is it now? How long did it take you to set that PB?)

I use Caffeine Bullet before gym sessions, rugby training, and games. I usually take one before light to medium intensity training, and two during high-intensity sessions, like a game (one pre-game and one just after the warm-up). This has helped me push my performance to new levels. Over the past few months, my back squat has increased by 40kg to 150kg for two reps, my military press by 10kg to 60kg for two reps, and my dumbbell press to 38kg for 2-3 reps. The energy boost has really helped me push to failure. My top speed has also increased to 7.89 m/s during games, and I’ve covered nearly 11km in a 50-minute pre-season outing. Caffeine Bullet has become essential to my training and will continue to be a key part of my routine.

What are your goals for the future?

Winning the cup next year for the third year in a row is definitely an achievement I’m aiming for. I also want to help my team progress past Round 4 in the National Colts Cup – which would be a record for the club.
